Rebecca Beatrice Brooks is a journalist and history writer from Massachusetts.

Rebecca grew up in Salisbury, Mass, and earned a bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism from the University of New Hampshire in 2001.

She got her start in journalism working for small-town newspapers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire before becoming a blogger in 2010.

Rebecca is a member of the Salisbury Historical Society, the Danvers Historical Society, and Historic Salem Inc.

She is also a volunteer for the National Archives and the Massachusetts Historical Society where she transcribes historical documents, and her work has been published in the Historical Journal of Massachusetts.
